- Mrs. Harold STILLMAN, 63, died
Sunday night in a hospital in Pueblo, Colo., after
- a year's illness.
- Rachel Ann COON, daughter of
Dayton B. and Mary POTTER COON, was born
- April 7, 1893, at Utica, Dane County,
and came with her parents to Milton in 1907. She was a graduate
of Milton high school, attended Milton College and graduated
from its School of Music, and also graduated from the Whitewater
Normal school, now Whitewater State Teachers College. She taught
school in Minnesota, and in Milton and Milton Junction, and gave
piano lessons in this area for many years.
- She was married to Harold C. STILLMAN
of Pueblo, Colo., on July 25, 1946, and
- had lived in Pueblo since then. Mr.
STILLMAN died October 26, 1956.
- She was a member of the Milton Seventh
Day Baptist Church, serving in all its
- activities, especially the choir, and
a member of Io Rebekah lodge, Milton. She was a former member
and Past Matron of Friendship, Eastern Star and its Past Matron's
chain, later affiliating with the Adah Chapter Eastern Star in
Pueblo, where she was past president of its Past Matron's club.
She was also a member of the Hearthside Study club, McDowell
Music club, Daughter of the Nile, Areme society and Win-one class
of the First Baptist Church in Pueblo.
- Survivors are two brothers, Elam P.
COON of Milton and Bradenton, Fla., and Philip
- L. COON of Beaver Falls, Penn.;
three step-sons, Brig. Gen. Robert STILLMAN and Harold
STILLMAN, Jr., of Denver, Colo., and Zinn STILLMAN
of Pueblo; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lenore McKELVY of Denver,
Colo.; two nephews and one niece.
- The body was brought to the Albrecht
funeral home where the Eastern Star service
- was given at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The
Io Rebekah lodge will give its service during the funeral which
is being held this Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Milton Seventh Day
Baptist church, with the Rev. Elmo Fitz Randolph officiating.
Burial will be made in Milton cemetery. [Thursday edition,
