Funeral services for Miss A. Cora CLARKE, who died Tuesday morning in Rock Co.
Hospital, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Milton Seventh Day Baptist church. The Rev. Elmo Fitz Randolph will officiate, Prof. Herbert CROUCH will give the song service and Miss Betty DALAND will be at the organ. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery and pallbearers will be Edwin MORSE, Kenneth BABCOCK, Walter SAYRE, Frank HOLMES, William ARTHUR and W. D. BURDICK.
Friends may call at the Albrecht Funeral Home, Thursday night.
Ann Cora, daughter of Sherrill Joseph and Harriet SAUNDERS CLARKE, was
born July 12, 1869, in Milton Township. She attended Milton Graded School, Milton Academy, Milton College and Stout Institute at Menomonie after which she taught in various schools.
She had been a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church since 1877, and
took part in Church activities as long as health permitted. She was past president of the Woman's Village Improvement Club and was a member of the Whatsoever circle of King's Daughters. For a number of years she was Milton correspondent for the Janesville Gazette and the local weekly.
Survivors are four nephews: Howard CLARKE, Glendale, Calif., Roy CLARKE,
Minneapolis, Harlow CLARKE, Janesville, and Walton CLARKE, Kent, Ohio. [Thursday edition, p. 4]
