George [Ambrose] CRANDALL, 76, who had been ill several months, died at 5
a.m. Monday, July 28, in his home on Milton Junction Route 1.
The son of George S. and Sarah Isophine LESTER CRANDALL, he was born
March 15, 1882, in Fulton Township, Rock County. He attended the Rock River School, Bethel Academy near Arpin, and Milton College. On Oct. 31, 1904, he married Mabel PALMER at Bethel where they resided the first year of their marriage after which they moved to Rock County. For 43 years they have lived on their present farm.
Survivors are his widow; two sons, Walter T. CRANDALL, Adelphi, Md., and
George Miles CRANDALL, Prescott, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Homer BALCH, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the Albrecht Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Elder
Donald S. Robbins of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment was in Rock River Cemetery. Pallbearers were Friedly CUNNINGHAM, Floyd VINCENT, Willis VINCENT, Stennett KERCHOFF, Wesley LOOFBORO and Fred CHAPMAN. [Thursday edition, p. 6]
