- Funeral services for Edwin [Arthur]
BABCOCK, 88, Milton, were held Monday
- afternoon in the Seventh Day Baptist
Church, Milton, the Rev. Elmo Fitz Randolph officiating. Burial
was in Milton Cemetery.
- Pallbearers were J. Pitt HOLMES,
Jack GARNETT, Wayne DAVIDSON, Donald
- KERR,
Homer GREEN and Theron OCHS.
- The son of Stillman and Frances BABCOCK,
he was born in Rock County July 9,
- 1872. He was a plumber and beekeeper.
- Surviving are his wife, Martha; two
daughters, Mrs. Lillian CHAPIN, Janesville, and
- Mrs. Edwina NEWMANN, Edgerton;
a step-daughter, Genevieve LaROWE, Beloit. A brother
preceded him in death. [Thursday edition, p. 6]

- [Ed attended Milton College in the late 1890's and was
a member of the Milton Cornet Band in 1898. He was married twice.
By his first wife, Martha GODDARD, who died in 1924,
he had three daughters: Gladys (who married Prof. Robert WEST),
Doris and Lillian (referred to as Mrs. CHAPIN above).
By his second wife he had one daughter, Edwina (who married a
NEWMANN.)]
