Services for Mrs. Oscar DAVIS, 82, Milton, were held Monday, Oct. 29, in the
Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, the Rev. Elmo F. Randolph officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Milton VAN HORN, H. C. DECKER, Theron OCHS, James
HARRISON, Kenneth BABCOCK and William BURDICK.
Mrs. DAVIS died Thursday in Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She had resided in a
nursing home in Janesville for several years.
Rachel [Amaranda], daughter of Marian and Malinda DAVIS VAN HORN, was
born June 24, 1880, and attended Milton Academy. She was married to Oscar DAVIS in Welton, Iowa, Dec. 31, 1901. He died in 1947. She was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rex BOWERS, Milton; four sons, the Rev. Oscar
DAVIS, Phoenix, Ariz., Wilmer, Hoopa, Calif., Duane, Aurora, Colo., and Wesley, Delmar, Iowa; two sisters, Mmes. Pearl FURROW, Delmar, Iowa, and Orra VESTER, Battle Creek, Mich.; 17 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A sister and four brothers preceded her in death.
