- Services for Mrs. Oscar DAVIS,
82, Milton, were held Monday, Oct. 29, in the
- Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church,
the Rev. Elmo F. Randolph officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
- Pallbearers were Milton VAN HORN,
H. C. DECKER, Theron OCHS, James
- HARRISON,
Kenneth BABCOCK and William BURDICK.
- Mrs. DAVIS died Thursday in
Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She had resided in a
- nursing home in Janesville for several
years.
- Rachel [Amaranda], daughter of Marian
and Malinda DAVIS VAN HORN, was
- born June 24, 1880, and attended Milton
Academy. She was married to Oscar DAVIS in Welton, Iowa,
Dec. 31, 1901. He died in 1947. She was a member of the Milton
Seventh Day Baptist Church.
- Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rex
BOWERS, Milton; four sons, the Rev. Oscar
- DAVIS,
Phoenix, Ariz., Wilmer, Hoopa, Calif., Duane, Aurora, Colo.,
and Wesley, Delmar, Iowa; two sisters, Mmes. Pearl FURROW,
Delmar, Iowa, and Orra VESTER, Battle Creek, Mich.; 17
grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A sister and four brothers preceded her in death. [Thursday
