Mrs. W. Guy POLAN, 73, Milton, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, in Edgerton
Memorial Hospital following an illness of six weeks.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, in the Seventh Day Baptist
Church, Milton, the Rev. Elmo Randolph officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
The former Norma Ethlo [Ethelo] JONES, daughter of J. D. and Mary JONES, was
born in Jackson Center, Ohio, Feb. 4, 1890. She was married to W. Guy POLAN in Jackson Center, Aug. 16, 1911. The POLANs celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1961 with a reception in the Seventh Day Baptist Church.
Mrs. POLAN was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; three sons: Neil of Janesville, Roger of Santa Barbara,
Calif., and Russell of Solvang, Calif.; three daughters: Mrs. Allison LOOMER of Green Bay, Mrs. Charles WHITFORD of Milton Junction, and Mrs. Herbert CROUCH of Milton; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dallas COLEMAN, Huntsville, Ohio, and one brother, Hubert JONES of Battle Creek, Mich.
A son, Robert POLAN, was killed while in service in 1945. [Thursday edition, p. 5]
