- Mrs. Claude D. STILLMAN, 77,
Milton, died Friday evening at Mercy Hospital,
- Janesville, following a long illness.
- Funeral services were held Monday,
May 25, at 2 p.m. in the Milton Congregational
- Church, the Rev. J. W. C. Emigholz
officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
- Pallbearers were Russell BURDICK,
Walter SAYRE, Rev. Elmo F. RANDOLPH, Robert MARTINSEN,
George SHELLESTAD and William BURDICK.
- The former Cora [Emily] THOMAS,
daughter of Eliza Alison and Albert THOMAS,
- was born Nov. 6, 1886, at LaMoure,
Dakota Territory, now North Dakota, living her early life in
Ely, Minn. She was married to Claude D. STILLMAN in
June, 1912, and lived most of her married life in Duluth, Minn.
She was a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church of Duluth,
active in the League of Women Voters, Duluth Women's Club, and
the Red Cross. She served in the Gray Lady Hospital Program.
She has been a Milton resident for the past ten years, where
she was a member of the Congregational Women's Fellowship and
the W.V.I. Club.
- Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Forrest
M. BRANCH of Milton; one son, Newland
- of Duluth, Minn.; seven grandchildren;
a sister, Miss Vida THOMAS of Ely, Minn. She was preceded
in death by her husband and one sister. [Thursday edition,
