- Mrs. Fay B. COON, 82, resident
of Milton, died Sunday morning, May 1, in Mercy
- Hospital, Janesville, following a brief
illness. She was the widow of Fayette B. COON, Rock County
school supervisor 1941-49, and an educator and administrator
in various public and high schools for more than 40 years.
- Funeral services were held at 3 p.m.
Wednesday, May 4, in the Milton Seventh Day
- Baptist Church, Rev. Elmo Randolph
officiating, with burial in the family lot in the Milton Cemetery.
- The former Berta [Glenberta] HULL
was born Nov. 16, 1883, in Harmony
- Township, the last surviving child
of Pioneer settlers Richard and Jennie BUIRLEY HULL.
She was married to Fay B. COON on Oct. 14, 1901 in Lima
Center. She and the late Mr. COON marked their 60th wedding
anniversary in 1961. He died June 12, 1963.
- She was a life member of the Milton
Seventh Day Baptist Church. Long a writer of
- poetry, of which many had been accepted
and published, one appeared this month in the NRTA Journal.
- Surviving are a son, Garrelt (Jarry),
Burbank, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. William
- (Genevieve) JENSEN of West Allis,
and Margaret, at home; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

- Darwin [Philo] McWILLIAM, 67,
a farmer in the Milton area for many years, died
- Monday, May 2, in University Hospital,
Madison, after a brief illness.
- Funeral services were to be held today,
Thursday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the Albrecht
- Funeral Home, Milton Junction, the
Rev. Elmo Randolph, Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church officiating,
with burial in Milton Cemetery.
- Born May 31, 1898, at Grand Junction,
Iowa, he came to Milton in 1901 with his
- parents, Doctor J. and Josephine DAVIS
McWILLIAM. He was married to Lola McCULLOCH Feb. 16,
1918, in Milton.
- Surviving are his wife; two brothers,
Ervin of Milton Junction, and Arthur of Bend,
- Oregon; four sisters, Mmes. Ella CRANDALL
of Sunnyvale, Calif., Bertha TIFFT of Lakewood, New Jersey,
Belva DUNWELL and Clara BREITZKREUTZ, both of Evansville.
- He was predeceased by his parents and
two sisters, Charlotte BROWN and Moleta
- GARRIGUS.

- Prof. Leland W[ebster] HULETT,
62, of Milton, suffered a fatal heart attack in his
- home Tuesday evening, May 17.
- Mr. HULETT was a professor of
accounting and head of the department of business
- administration at Milton College, where
he has served for the past 32 1/2 years. He was instrumental
in developing the department. He was part-time secretary-treasurer
of Milton Savings and Loan Association from 1943-1960. He had
been a member for five years of the Rock County board's finance
committee.
- At the time of his death he was a member
of the American Economic Association,
- president of the Milton Seventh Day
Baptist Church, treasurer and past president of the Milton-Milton
Junction Kiwanis Club, lieutenant governor of Division 2, Wisconsin-Upper
Michigan District, Kiwanis International, former treasurer of
the Milton Cemetery Association and a former trustee of the village
of Milton. He represented Milton Village on the Rock County board
of supervisors until the board's recent reorganization.
- Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m. Friday, May 20, in the Milton Seventh Day
- Baptist Church, the Rev. Elmo Randolph
officiating, assisted by Dean Kenneth Smith of Milton College.
Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery.
- Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight,
Thursday, May 19, in the Milton Seventh
- Day Baptist Church parlor. Albrecht's
Funeral Home, Milton Junction, is in charge of arrangements.
- Prof. HULETT was born Feb. 29,
1904, at Allentown, New York, the son of Dr.
- and Mrs. Horace L. HULETT. He
received his bachelor of arts degree from Milton College in 1926,
his bachelor of science degree in accounting at Tri-State College,
Angola, Ind. in 1933, and his master's degree from the University
of Wisconsin in 1941.
- He was married to Alberta BABCOCK
of Battle Creek, Mich., in 1927.
- Survivors are his wife; a son, Douglas
of Delavan, and a daughter Nancy, Mrs. Wayne
- PETERS,
of Verona; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur DRAKE
and Mrs. William NOTTINGHAM, both of Milton. [Thursday

- Mrs. Vincent RAUKUCE [nee Alice
Lenore KUMLIEN], 65, a Milton resident
- most of her life, died Friday morning,
May 20, in Mercy Hospital, Janesville, following a brief illness.
- She was the daughter of Prof. Ludwig
and Annabel CARR KUMLIEN, and the
- granddaughter of Wisconsin naturalist,
Thure KUMLIEN.
- Born Oct. 30, 1900 in Milton, she was
a 1922 graduate of Milton College. She was
- married June 6, 1923 in Milton to Vincent
RAUKUCE and they lived briefly in Michigan before returning
to Milton. He died in 1945. A brother, Carr KUMLIEN
of Milton Junction died earlier this year.
- Mrs. RAUKUCE was a former employee
of the Parker Pen Co. and asocial worker
- with the Rock County Welfare department
until her retirement in 1961.
- She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
O. John LEIDER of Tomahawk, and Mrs.
- Monroe JOHNSON of Cleveland,
Ohio; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert WATERMAN
of Milton Junction, and one brother, L. L. KUMLIEN of
Saratoga, Fla.
- Funeral services were held at 11 a.m.
Sunday, May 22, in the Albrecht Funeral Home,
- Milton Junction, the Rev. Elmo Randolph
of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church officiating. Cremation
followed with committal services to be held at a later date.
