- Merrill [Augustus] BINGHAM,
73, Fulton Township farmer since 1937 and well-
- known breeder of Holstein cattle, died
early Monday, June 10, in Mercy Hospital, Janesville, where he
was admitted a week ago with a heart condition.
- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, June 12, in the Albrecht Funeral
- Home, the Rev. Earl Cruzan officiating.
Burial was in the Milton Cemetery with Elton BINGHAM,
Charles BINGHAM, Howard MILLER, Spencer HOWARD,
Ray FERLOTT and Ronnie DORWIN as pallbearers.
- The son of Elmer and Daisy HOWARD
BINGHAM, he was born in Harmony
- Township March 26, 1895, and was a
graduate of Milton high school and the U.W. Agriculture School
Short Course.
- He was married to Esther CRANDALL
in Milton on Sept. 10, 1919. The couple
- lived in several state areas while
he managed dairy herds, and since 1937 had farmed in Fulton Township.
He was a member and active in the Holstein Breeders Association.
- Surviving are his wife; three brothers,
Elton of Milton, Dr. Elmer BINGHAM of San
- Diego, Calif., and Howard L. of Elkhorn;
five sisters, Mrs. Beth BORDEN of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ruth
SCHMIDT of Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Dorothy WEIDNER
of Wauconda, Ill., Mrs. Phoebe WINCH of Madison, and Mrs.
Cleone EMERSON of Riverside, Calif. [Thursday
