- Julius S[mith] NELSON, 82, lifelong
resident of Milton, died unexpectedly Friday,
- Nov. 23, in his home at 117 Parkview
Drive.
- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 24, in the Milton Seventh Day
- Baptist Church, the Rev. Earl Cruzan
officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery with Erlo NELSON,
Nolan NELSON, Leman ROOD, Franklin BRADLEY,
Robert HURLEY, and Allison DAVIS, all nephews,
as pallbearers.
- The son of Peter and Caroline NELSON
was born Jan. 20, 1886, in Dell Rapids,
- South Dakota. He came to Milton as
a young man and entered Milton College where he graduated in
1914. He was a veteran or World War I and for many years he
worked in the Hough Shade Plant in Janesville. He was a member
of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
- Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lydia
HURLEY of Madison, and Mrs. Carrie
