- Funeral services for Mrs. Lyda [Esther]
HURLEY [nee NELSON], 82, Madison,
- were held from the First Baptist Church,
Madison, with burial in the Milton Cemetery.
- Mrs. HURLEY, a former Milton
resident, died May 19 in a Madison hospital
- following a brief illness.
- She was born in Dell Rapids, S. Dak.,
and was married to R. Vernon HURLEY,
- who served as Dane County Agricultural
Agent from 1936 to 1953. He died in 1953.
- Mrs. HURLEY was a member of
the First Baptist Church, Madison, the Madison
- Civics Club and the Daughters of Demeter.
- Surviving are three daughters: Miss
Candace HURLEY of Ames, Iowa, Mrs.
- Franklin BRADLEY of Evansville,
and Mrs. George STEVENSON of Darlington; one son, Robert
HURLEY, at home; one sister, Mrs. Carrie FREDERICK,
Milton; five grand- children and two great-grandchildren. [Thursday
