- Funeral services for Miss Gladys [Emily]
SAUNDERS, 75, lifelong resident of the
- Milton area, were held at 1:30 p.m.
Friday in the Albrecht Funeral Home with burial in the Milton
cemetery. Miss SAUNDERS died June 1 in Memorial Community
Hospital, Edgerton, where she had resided for the past seven
years.
- Born August 21, 1895 in the Town of
Harmony, Miss SAUNDERS was a member
- of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church
and Io Rebekah Lodge.
- She is survived by a brother, Jesse

- Services for George [Loren] VAN
HORN, 81, of 418 Chicago St., were held
- Monday afternoon in the Albrecht Funeral
Home, with burial in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
- He died Saturday, in Colonial Manor,
Janesville, after an illness of several months.
- He was born April 20, 1890 in Garwin,
Iowa, and lived in Milton from 1924 to 1942
- [when he was employed at SAUNDERS
Lumber & Coal Co.]. He then resided in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
until returning to Milton in 1970. He was a carpenter by trade.
- He was married to Esther CARVER
Feb. 20 [12], 1913 at Marion, Iowa.
- Surviving are his wife; a daughter,
Mrs. Charlotte HUCKSTEAD, New Ulm, Minn.;
- three sons, Merrill [Merle] of Janesville,
Stanley of Madison, and Elton of Milton; 14 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frank HURLEY and
Mrs. Belle LIPPINCOTT, both of Milton; and two brothers,
Alven [Alvin], Cedar Rapids, and Orvell [Orell], Toledo, Iowa.
