- Frank [Aubrey] HURLEY, 90, of
336 E. Madison Ave., longtime area resident, died
- early Tuesday, April 23, in Beloit
Convalescent Home.
- Funeral services will be held at 1:30
p.m. Thursday, April 25 in the Albrecht Funeral
- Home, Rev. Earl Cruzan, pastor of the
Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be
in the Milton Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
- Mr. HURLEY was born January
17, 1884 at Garwin, Iowa, the son of Theodore and
- Eva DAVIS HURLEY. He
was married to Cora M. VAN HORN on Feb. 1, 1909 and they
lived in Iowa and farmed until coming to Milton in 1927. He worked
as a painter and paper hanger and during the war was employed
by Fairbanks Morse, Beloit, until retiring at age 70.

- John F[rancis] "Jack" MANOGUE, 70, 27 Clear
Lake Ave., retired GMAD
- employee, died Saturday, April 20, in Mercy Hospital following
a short illness.
- Funeral services were held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, April
23 in St. Mary Catholic
- Church, Fr. James McEnery officiating, assisted by two grandsons,
Kelly MANOGUE and John BURNAM as servers. Burial
was in St. Mary Cemetery with Owen HAUGOM, Dan DREW,
Ward CULLEN, Emmett MANOGUE, Larry GODFREY
and Elden FIELD as pallbearers.
- A lifetime resident of this area, he was born July 11, 1903
in Johnstown Township.
- He was married to Ruth HUTCHINS on June 18, 1930 in
St. Mary Church. He retired from GMAD in 1965 where he was employed
for 31 years. He held membership in St. Mary Church and Local
95 UAW.
- Survivors include his wife; three sons, John M. of Milton,
William of Lima Center, and
- Thomas J. of Janesville; five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Aileen)
BURNAM, Beloit, Mrs. Douglas (Sally) FIELD, Janesville,
Mrs. Frank (Judy) THOM, Highland, California, Mrs. Richard
(Ruth) LEHMANN, Madison, Mrs. Jon (Margaret) AHRENS,
Milton; a brother, Darrell of Janesville; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence
(Catherine) GODFREY, Milton, and Mrs. Peg FANNING,
R. 1, Milton Jct.; 29 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
- He was predeceased by three brothers, Leo, William and Joseph,
and two sisters,
- Misses Aileen and Mercedes MANOGUE. [Thursday edition,
