- George Henry [Carl] JENNINGS,
87, life-long Milton area resident, died
- Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Mercy Hospital,
Janesville.
- JENNINGS,
of 318 Chicago Street, was born Jan. 17, 1891, at Johnstown and
later
- farmed in the Milton area until retiring
in 1961.
- He was married to Julia MAWHINNEY
Nov. 4, 1914, and they marked their 60th
- anniversary in 1974. He was a member
of First United Methodist Church and Rural and Village Club.
- Surviving are his wife; two sons, Paul
of Janesville, and Harold of McFarland; four
- daughters, Mrs. Marjorie WENHAM
and Mrs. Norma J. FREEMAN, both of Milton, Mrs. Rosalie
WAGNER, Beloit, and Mrs. Audrey MEYER, Stoughton;
16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
- Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday
at First United Methodist Church, Milton,
- with burial in Milton Lawns Memorial
Park, Janesville.
- Memorials may be made to the First
United Methodist Church. Albrecht Funeral
- Home was in charge of arrangements.

- Jesse J[ames] SAUNDERS, 86,
of 1024 Sunset, died Thursday, Sept. 21, at
- Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
- Born Sept. 8, 1892, in Johnstown Township,
Rock County, and a lifelong area
- resident, Mr. SAUNDERS farmed
in the area for some time and then was a sales representative
for Schadbolt & Boyd, Milwaukee. He was a member of Seventh-Day
Baptist Church, a 32nd degree member of the Masonic Lodge 161,
and a former member of IOOF Lodge, Rebekah Lodge and Milton Grange.
- Surviving are his wife, the former
Ruth M. RASMUSSEN; and cousins.
- Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday
at Albrecht Funeral Home with burial in Milton
