Wayne C[urtis] LIPPINCOTT, 54, of 39 E. High St., life-long Milton area resident,
died Aug. 10 at Edgerton Hospital following a short illness.
He was born Aug. 16, 1924 in Milton, the son of Noble and Ive SCHROEDER
LIPPINCOTT and married the former Ernestine PIERCE April 30, 1949. He was employed as a technician at The Burdick Corporation, was a WW II veteran and a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, Milton.
He is survived by his wife; mother, Mrs. Gerald SAYRE, Milton, and son, Jerry of
Janesville.
A memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Seventh Day Baptist
Church, with Rev. Earl Cruzan officiating. A memorial has been established in his name. [Thursday edition, p. 16]

Merle [Victor] VAN HORN, 65, of 176 S. Jackson, died Aug. 9 in Caravilla
Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born May 3, 1914, in Garwin, Iowa, he married Helen LICHTENBERG on Sept.
28, 1940, in Manchester, Iowa. VAN HORN, a 40-year Janesville resident, worked for City Cab Co. as a driver. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Esther VAN HORN of Milton; two brothers,
Elton of Milton and Stanley of Madison; and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte HUCKSTEAD of Milton.
Services were Saturday in the Schneider Funeral Home with burial in Milton Lawns
Memorial Park. [Thursday edition, p. 16]
