- Leland S. GREEN, 46, former
Milton area resident, died Monday, Oct 8, at
- Richland Center Hospital after a long
illness.
- Mr. GREEN was born at Farina,
Ill., on Aug. 13, 1933.
- He served in the U. S. Army for two
years being stationed in Germany.
- On Aug. 21, 1956 he married the former
Dortha BOND.
- Leland graduated from UW-Platteville
in January 1959. He was [a] resource
- development agent for the UW-Richland
Center extension.
- Mr. GREEN was a member of Ash
Creek United Methodist Church of Richland
- Center and was a former member of the
Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
- Survivors include his wife, Dortha
of rural Richland Center; two daughters, Janet at
- home, Lois of LaCrosse; one son David
at home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph GREEN of Milton,
and two brothers, Dale of Janesville, and Edwin of Milton.
- Services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday
at Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church
- with Rev. Earl Cruzan officiating.
Burial was in Milton Junction cemetery.
- Memorials may be made to Ash Creek
United Methodist Church of Richland Center.
- Pratt Funeral Service of Richland Center
was in charge of arrangements. [Thursday

- Lois RICE, 85, of Parkview Terrace
Apartments, lifelong Milton resident, died
- Monday, Oct. 15, at Mercy Hospital
following a short illness.
- She was born April 1 1894, the daughter
of William and Alice GRISWOLD
- CRANDALL
and married Ivan E. RICE July 26, 1917 in Milton. He
died in 1967.
- She was a former member of the Milton
Grange, Rebecca Lodge, Women's Circle,
- U.M.W., and Service Star Legion.
She was also a member of the Faith United Methodist Church.
- Survivors include one son, Ivan K.,
Milton; a daughter, Mrs. George GILMAN,
- Janesville; a sister, Mrs. Bessie RICE,
Milton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
- Funeral services were held Wednesday,
Oct. 17, at the Faith United Methodist
- Church, Milton, with Rev. Virgil Holmes
officiating. Burial was in Milton Cemetery. A memorial has
been established. [Thursday edition, p. 16]
