- Nellie Evangel HULL, 87, died
March 1, in Chicago.
- The daughter of Charles B. and Margaret
DAVIS HULL, she grew up in Milton and
- graduated from Milton Academy. She
earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Chicago Art Institute
and taught art at Hirsch high school in Chicago where she was
chairman of the art department.
- She is survived by sisters Margaret
HULL GESSLER, Berkeley, Calif., and Phebe
- POLAN,
Clifton Springs, N.Y.; also cousins. [Thursday edition,

- R[ush] Spencer HOWARD, 75, a
lifelong Milton resident, died Friday morning,
- May 2, at Mercy Hospital.
- He was born Aug. 30, 1904 and married
Mildred SEVERANCE in Milton in 1926.
- A retired draftsman, he had worked
at Burdick Corporation and Gibbs Manufacturing,
- Janesville. He also was a custodian
at Milton College and the Seventh Day Baptist Church.
- He is survived by his wife; a son,
K. Spencer HOWARD of Milton; two grand-
- children; and a brother, E. O. HOWARD
of Grosse Point, Mich.
- Memorial services were held at 2:30
p.m. Monday in the Seventh Day Baptist Church.
- No visitation was held.
- Memorials may be made to the Seventh
Day Baptist Church. Albrecht Funeral Home
- was in charge of arrangements.
