- Funeral services for Carl H. ANDERSON,
85, of 419 Plumb St., who died Friday in
- Mercy Hospital, were held at 3 p.m.
Tuesday, in First Congregational Church, with burial in Milton
Lawns Memorial Park.
- Born Aug. 24, 1895, in Halland Province,
Sweden, he arrived in this country in 1913.
- He married Una VAN HORN on June
17, 1920, in Janesville. ANDERSON was employed many years
by the Burdick Corp., from which he retired in 1964.
- He was a member of First Congregational
United Church of Christ, Milton.
- Surviving are his wife; a brother,
Werner of Rockford, Ill.; and two sisters, Edith and
- Ada ANDERSON, both of Sweden;
and several nieces and nephews. [Thursday edition, p. 20]
- Walter HUDSON, 81, of 417 Rogers,
died Friday in Edgerton Community Hospital.
- A lifelong Milton resident, he was
born on April 18, 1900. He married Mildred
- CRANDALL
here on June 28, 1919 and she died in 1971.
- HUDSON
had been employed for 47 years by the Burdick Corp., from which
he
- retired in 1968.
- Surviving are a son, John of Evanston,
Ill.; and two grandchildren.
- Services were held Monday at Albrecht
Funeral Home, Milton, with burial in Milton
- Cemetery. [Thursday edition, p.

- George E[dward] SOWLES, 67,
of 73 Parkview Terrace, died Tuesday [June 16]
- in Mercy Hospital.
- Born May 5, 1914, in Emerald Grove,
he married Betty Jane KLINGBEIL on April
- 21, 1945, in Waukegan, Ill. He had
been employed by the Rock County Airport and highway department.
He moved to Milton from Janesville in January.
- Surviving are his wife; a son, Thomas
F. of Cudahy; two daughters, Lonnie
- HASEMAN
and Janice C. SHAW, both of Janesville; three grandchildren;
and a brother, Robert H., and half-brother, Fred WEHLER,
both of Janesville.
- Services were held last Friday in Overton
Funeral Home; burial was in Milton Lawns
- Memorial Park. [Thursday edition,
p. 8]
