- Mrs. Eva [Belle] H. ARNOLD,
92, St. Elizabeth's Home in Janesville, died Monday,
- Dec. 6 at the home.
- Born June 29, 1890, in Lima, the daughter
of C. T. and Myra MARTIN HUDSON,
- she married David A. ARNOLD
in 1913 in Madison. He died Dec. 22, 1964.
- She was a member of the First Congregational
United Church of Christ, Homemakers
- Class, Womens Fellowship of the Church,
King's Daughters, and WCTU.
- Surviving are one son, D. Allison ARNOLD,
Whitewater; two daughters, Ardis A.
- STEVENS,
Bozeman, Montana, and Marjorie R. ARNOLD, Janesville;
seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Grace
ARNOLD, Edgerton, Almeda DAVIS, Janesville, and
Janette HEINIG, Milton.
- Services are at 1:30 p.m., Friday,
at the First Congregational United Church of Milton
- with Rev. Craig Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Milton East Cemetery. Friends may call
from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Overton Funeral Home in Janesville.

- J[ames] Paul GREEN, 81, Milton
developer and former educator, died here
- Saturday afternoon after an apparent
heart attack.
- A memorial service will be held at
the Milton Seventh Day Baptist church Sunday,
- Dec. 19 at 4:30 p.m. Friends may call
at the church after 3 p.m. Sunday.
- Born April 19, 1901 at Farina, Ill.,
son of George G. and Rena ROGERS GREEN,
- Mr. GREEN graduated from Milton
College in 1926 and took graduate studies in agriculture at the
University of Wisconsin and Cornell University.
- He married Elizabeth JOHNSON
in 1928 and taught vocational agriculture in New
- York State schools until returning
to Milton in 1944.
- Except for six years as a Veterans'
Administration instructor in farming methods and
- eight years as a U.S. Department of
Agriculture fieldman working with ASC programs, he continued
teaching at various levels in the Milton school system until
retirement in 1968. He also operated a dairy farm during those
years and following retirement, started subdivisions which eventually
grew to over 200 lots.
- He was a member of the Milton Seventh
Day Baptist church and also active in Milton
- Kiwanis, Milton Junction Cemetery Association
and Milton Grange.
- Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth,
24 Elizabeth St.; two daughters, Helen Ruth of
- DeRuyter, N.Y. and Mrs. George COLFLESH
of Sedalia, Mo.; two sons, Paul and Frank, Milton, four brothers,
Ralph, Milton, Maurice of Stronghurst, Ill., George of Monticello,
Ill., and Clark of Altamont, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Sue MAXSON,
Milton, Mrs. Marian LEWIS of Riverside, Cal. and Mrs.
Mildred HARWOOD of Granville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren
and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Frank and Byron.
