- Ralph H. GREEN, 75, of Route
1, Milton, died last Thursday, June 2 at home after
- a long illness.
- Born Jan. 11, 1908, in Farina, Ill.,
he married Pansy SCOUTEN on Oct. 15, 1932,
- in Fouke, Ark. GREEN attended
Milton College and the University of Illinois. He farmed in Fouke
until 1946, when he moved to Milton and became self-employed
as a dairy farmer. He was a Milton 4-H leader, a member of the
Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church and a former member of the
school board.
- Surviving are his wife; two sons, Edwin
of Milton and Dale of Janesville; 10 grand-
- children; three brothers, George of
Monticello, Ill., Maurice of Stronghurst, Ill., and Clark of
Altamont, Ill.; three sisters, Sue MAXSON of Milton, Marian
LEWIS of Riverside, Calif., and Mildred HARWOOD
of Hartford, N.Y.
- Services were held Monday at the Milton
Seventh Day Baptist Church, with burial in
- Milton Junction Cemetery.
- Memorials may be made to Milton Seventh

- Rose H[armina] STILLMAN, 80,
of 368 E. Madison Ave., a long-time Milton
- resident, died Saturday, June 11, at
home following an apparent heart attack.
- Born Oct. 8, 1902, in Nortonville,
Kansas, the daughter of A. B. and Mary COON
- STILLMAN,
she graduated from Milton College in 1926 and later graduated
from the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing, Madison.
- She was employed as a nurse for Doctors
CROSLEY, DAVIS and BURDICK
- from 1934 until her retirement. Prior
to that time, she served as obstetrics nurse in the Salvation
Army Martha Washington Home, Milwaukee.
- She was a member of the Milton Historical
Society, Milton Woman's Club, Seventh
- Day Baptist Church, Milton, and was
named Citizen of the Year by the Milton Kiwanis Club in 1974.
- She was preceded in death by her parents,
five brothers and one sister.
- Survivors include 11 nieces and nephews.
- Funeral services were held Tuesday,
June 14, at the church, with Rev. Herbert
- Saunders officiating. Burial was in
Milton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Seventh Day Baptist
Church, Milton. [Thursday edition, p. 24]
