Dennis [C.] LIPPINCOTT, 38, of 2044 Burbank Ave., Janesville, was killed
Thursday, June 30, when his twin-engine Beechcraft crashed on a hilltop about two miles south of Claysville, W. Virginia.
A Blackhawk Airways pilot for the past four years, LIPPINCOTT was flying a load
of 2,400 pounds of plastic rolls from Winchester, Virginia to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was scheduled to stop in Indianapolis to refuel and when he failed to show up at the refueling stop, Dick WIXOM, Blackhawk manager, notified authorities.
According to weather reports, some areas in W. Virginia had experienced thunder-
storms, although officials are still uncertain about the cause of the plane crash.
The plane wreckage was spotted from the air Friday afternoon and a Maryland state
police helicopter was brought to the crash site to confirm the craft's identity.

Minn., the son of Darwin and Dorothy STEBBINS LIPPINCOTT. He attended Dodge Center High school, Dodge Center, Minn., and graduated from Glendale College, Glendale, Calif., with an associate of science degree in aircraft maintenance. He held a commercial pilot certificate with single and multi-engine and instrument ratings.
He married the former Leanne MARTINSEN in Milton May 30, 1970, and had
served in the U.S. Air Force. The couple moved to Milton four years ago from Swea City, Iowa and Dodge Center, Minn. He was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church, Milton.
Survivors include his wife, Leanne LIPPINCOTT; one son, Jay, at home; one
