- Walter F. NEILS, Sr., 82, a
long-time Milton resident, died Sunday, Feb. 19, at
- Rock Haven Nursing Home, Janesville.
- Born April 6, 1901, in Milwaukee, the
son of Albert and Maria BENTZ NEILS, he
- graduated from West Division High School,
Milwaukee. He was employed as a draftsman by Allis-Chalmers
and the A.O. Smith Corp.
- He married Dorothy BENNETT of
Milton July 2, 1937, and the couple resided in
- Milwaukee until moving to Milton in
1945. He was then employed by The Burdick Corporation until
retiring in 1964. Mrs. NEILS died in 1972.
- He was a member of the Seventh Day
Baptist Church, Milton.
- Survivors include one daughter, Mrs.
Russell (Mary) KNUDSEN, Colgate; two sons,
- Walter F. NEILS, Jr., of Janesville,
and Frank J. NEILS of Neenah; and three grandchildren.
- Services were held Wednesday, Feb.
22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Seventh Day Baptist
- Church, Milton, with Rev. Saunders
and Rev. Cruzan officiating. Burial was in Milton East Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
