Mrs. Almeda A[deline] DAVIS, 94, formerly of 120 St. Lawrence, Janesville, died
Tuesday, Nov. 4, at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home.
Born Sept. 17, 1892, in Lima Township, the former Almeda HUDSON married Jesse
DAVIS in Milton. He died Aug. 9, 1976. The couple lived in Milton until 1933 and then moved to Janesville. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Janesville, and the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are a son, Robert of Naples, Fla., a daughter, Nevelyn LITTLE of
Janesville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace ARNOLD of Edgerton and Jeanette HEINIG of Milton.
Services were held Wednesday in the Albrecht Funeral Home - Milton, with burial in
the Milton Cemetery. [Thursday edition, p. 24]

Mrs. Melva MAXSON, 91, formerly of 321 Rogers St., Milton, died Friday, Oct.
31, in Mercy Hospital, Janesville after a long illness.
The former Melva [Rachel] THORNGATE was born on Jan. 9, 1895, in North
Loup, Neb., where she married Rolland MAXSON on Sept. 17, 1919. He died in 1971. A longtime resident of Milton, Mrs. MAXSON was an avid bird watcher and banded birds for the federal wildlife program.
Surviving are two sons, Rolland of Oceanside, Calif., and Keith of Milton; six grand-
children; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice and A???????? Madison.
Services were held at the Albrecht Funeral Home, Milton, on Monday, Nov. 3, with
burial in the Milton Cemetery. [Thursday edition, p. 24]
