- Mrs. Almeda A[deline] DAVIS,
94, formerly of 120 St. Lawrence, Janesville, died
- Tuesday, Nov. 4, at St. Elizabeth Nursing
Home.
- Born Sept. 17, 1892, in Lima Township,
the former Almeda HUDSON married Jesse
- DAVIS
in Milton. He died Aug. 9, 1976. The couple lived in Milton
until 1933 and then moved to Janesville. She was a member of
the First Congregational Church, Janesville, and the Rebekah
Lodge.
- Surviving are a son, Robert of Naples,
Fla., a daughter, Nevelyn LITTLE of
- Janesville; four grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace ARNOLD of
Edgerton and Jeanette HEINIG of Milton.
- Services were held Wednesday in the
Albrecht Funeral Home - Milton, with burial in
- the Milton Cemetery. [Thursday edition,

- Mrs. Melva MAXSON, 91, formerly
of 321 Rogers St., Milton, died Friday, Oct.
- 31, in Mercy Hospital, Janesville after
a long illness.
- The former Melva [Rachel] THORNGATE
was born on Jan. 9, 1895, in North
- Loup, Neb., where she married Rolland
MAXSON on Sept. 17, 1919. He died in 1971. A longtime
resident of Milton, Mrs. MAXSON was an avid bird watcher
and banded birds for the federal wildlife program.
- Surviving are two sons, Rolland of
Oceanside, Calif., and Keith of Milton; six grand-
- children; two great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, Alice and A???????? Madison.
- Services were held at the Albrecht
Funeral Home, Milton, on Monday, Nov. 3, with
- burial in the Milton Cemetery.
