Arthur M[ain] DRAKE, 87, of 409 Rogers St., died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1990 at home.
Mr. DRAKE was born Sept. 28, 1902 in Albion, the son of Ervin and Edith
(MAIN) DRAKE. He married Gladys HULETT on Aug. 8, 1927 in Bolivar, N.Y.; she preceded him in death in January 1985. Mr. DRAKE was part owner and operator of OCHS and DRAKEs Grocery Store in the '30s and early 40's in Milton. He was employed by the Burdick Corp. and retired in 1967. He was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church and was a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
He is survived by two sons, Donald (June) DRAKE of Milton and Gordon (Maureen)
DRAKE of Janesville; one daughter, Janet (Chuck) ROTE of Janesville; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard (Berneice) DRAKE of Janesville. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma DRAKE and Florence LYONS.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Milton.
Burial was in Milton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church. Albrecht Funeral Home in Milton handled the arrangements. [Thursday edition, p. 5]
