- Lois M[ary] SMITH, 75, of 10315
Ellendale Rd., Edgerton, died Saturday, Feb. 24,
- 1990 at her home.
- She was born Feb. 7, 1915 in Milton,
the daughter of Nelson (Prof Si) and Tacy
- INGLIS.
She married William J. SMITH in 1949 in Milton. She
owned and had worked at the following: CARNEY Brothers
Gas Station, Bill and Ken's Gas Station, Smith's Newville Standard
Station, Valley Springs Trout Farm, and she drove bus for the
BURNS Brothers Bus Service in Edgerton. She graduated
from Milton College.
- She is survived by her husband, William
SMITH of Edgerton; one daughter, Wendy
- K. SMITH of Edgerton; one son,
John M. CARNEY of California; four grandchildren: David
CARNEY of California, Michael PETITT of Janesville,
Valerie CARNEY of California and Christine PETITT
of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
- There were no funeral services. Friends
and relatives may call 868-7335. Albrecht
- Funeral Home, Edgerton, handled the

- Una L[ouise] VanHORN, 85, of
Parkview Terrace Apartment Complex in Milton,
- died Friday, Feb. 23, 1990 at the Curler's
Home Care Facility.
- She was born March 23, 1904 in Milton
Township, the daughter of Joshua and Mary
- Louise (JORDAN) CLARKE.
She married Merrit VanHORN Sept. 1, 1926 in Milton;
he died in July of 1952. During their marriage they lived in
the Southern Wisconsin area. She moved to Milton shortly after
her husband's death. Mrs. VanHORN was employed at Burdick
Corporation for many years. She was a member of the Seventh
Day Adventist Church in Milton.
- Mrs. VanHORN is survived by
three sisters, Lucy HUDLOW of Palatka, Fla.,
- Mary CLARKE of Janesville and
Nancy (Alvin) NELSON of Milton; one son, Donald of California;
one granddaughter, Lynette PELLE, also of California;
and nieces and nephews.
- Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb.
27, at the Albrecht Funeral Home in Milton.
- Elder Mike Weakley officiated. Burial
was in Milton Cemetery. Albrecht Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
