- Genevieve [Lorena] HESSELMAN,
78, a lifelong Edgerton area resident, died
- Monday, Aug. 5, 1996, at the Edgerton
Memorial Community Hospital.
- She was born in Milton Township of
Sept. 30, 1917, the daughter of Fred and Jessie
- (FOX) GRAY. She had attended
Rock River grade school, and graduated from Milton Union High
School. She was married to Robert B. HESSELMAN on April
8, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, and he preceded her in death on May
1, 1976. She had been employed at Hough Shade Company in Janesville
for 25 years, until her retirement in 1978.
- Survivors include three sons: Neil
(Nancy) HESSELMAN and Robert (Barbara)
- HESSELMAN,
both of Edgerton, and David HESSELMAN of Janesville; a
brother Fred Merton GRAY of Milton; seven grandchildren;
and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was
preceded in death by five brothers; a sister; and a grandson,
Brian.
- A memorial service was held Wednesday,
Aug. 7, 1996, at the Bruni-Nygaard-Ward
- Funeral Home, Edgerton. Pastor Tom
Countryman of the Edgerton United Methodist Church officiated.

- Margaret B. COON, 67, 702 Parkview
Terrace, died Friday, Aug. 9, 1996, at
- Rock Haven. She was born Jan. 22, 1929,
in Ohio, the daughter of Fay and Berta (HULL) COON.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Milton.
She worked at the Milton House Museum as a tour guide.
- She is survived by a brother, Garry
COON of California; five nieces: Bobbie GRADE,
- Karen BRASELTON, Carolyn STILLMAN,
Barbara MERCHANT, Dorothy WILLIAMS; many grandnieces,
grandnephews and friends.
- Funeral services were held Tuesday,
Aug. 13, at the Albrecht Funeral Home. Pastor
- George Calhoun officiated. Burial was
in the Milton Cemetery. [Thursday edition, p. 4]
