- Earl CRUZAN, former pastor of
Milton's Seventh Day Baptist Church, died Monday,
- June 2, 1997, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
Mr. CRUZAN, of 106 Rogers St., was 83.
- He was born Sept. 12, 1913, in North
Loup, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Stella
- (CLEMENT) CRUZAN. He
married Mabel E. DAVIS on June 30, 1936, in Marlboro,
N.J. He graduated from Salem College, Salem, W.W. and Alfred
University Divinity School, Alfred, N.Y. and was ordained to
the ministry while serving the Seventh Day Baptist Church of
Waterford, Ct. He also served Seventh Day Baptist pastorates
in Boulder, Colo., Dodge Center, Minn. Adams Center, N.Y., Westerly,
R.I., Milton and Milwaukee. He was a member of the Milton Seventh
Day Baptist Church and the Milton Historical Society.
- He is survived by his wife, Mabel;
four children: Barbara (Dale) GREEN of Janesville,
- E. Wayne (Linda) CRUZAN of Monterey,
Calif., Nancy (David) LIPPERT of Lansing, N.Y., Jonathan
(Susan) CRUZAN of Milton; ten grandchildren: Ellen (Matthew)
OLSON of Berlin, N.Y., Howard GREEN of Chicago,
Ill., Mark (Faith) GREEN of Wurtzburg, Germany, Amy (Hansen)
REED of Monterey, Calif., Sarah (Scott) CLARK of
San Diego, Calif., Michael LIPPERT of Ithaca, N.Y., Betsy
(Sean) KANE of LaCrosse, Peter LIPPERT of Lansing,
N.Y., Amanda (Lief) SYKORA of Janesville, Nicole CRUZAN
of Milton; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank (Ruth)
CRUZAN, Bert (Helen) CRUZAN; and one sister, Emma
WERKHEISER, all of Bridgeton, N.J.
- Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sabbath
(Saturday), June 7, 1997, at the Milton
- Seventh Day Baptist Church. Pastor
George Calhoun will officiate. Burial will be in the Milton
Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, June
6, at Albrecht Funeral Home and at the church on Sabbath from
