- Janesville - Elmer H. RASMUSSEN,
age 92, of 1700 S. River Rd., Cedar Crest,
- died Sun., Sept. 7, 1997, at Mercy
Hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1904, in Oshkosh, WI, the son of
Lars and Mary (JENSEN) RASMUSSEN. He lived his
entire life in the Janesville area, working for 38 years at GMAD,
retiring in 1965. He was married to Esther HOLLIDAY Nov.
22, 1928. He attended Peace Lutheran Church in Janesville. He
was a member of the UAW #95. He was a great outdoorsman and loved
to hunt and fish.
- He is survived by his wife, Esther
of Janesville; a son, Gerald of Stamford, CT; 2
- daughters, Helen (Dean) MILAM
of Janesville, and Marilyn (Ed) BONK of Janesville; a
brother, Harold RASMUSSEN of Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren;
20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and a sister.
- Memorial services will be held Wed.,
Sept. 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Crest Chapel,
- with Rev. Glen Skatrud officiating.
Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Friends may call
from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Crest. In lieu of other expressions
of sympathy, memorials may be made to Cedar Crest. Albrecht Funeral
