Phoebe [Isabel] WATERMAN of Milton, died October 25, 2000, in Bozeman,
MT.
She was born [May 27, 1910] in Milton, the daughter of John Russell HINMAN
and Annabell CARR KUMLIEN. She attended business college in Port Huron, MI, from 1927 until 1928. She worked for many years in Chicago and also studied piano and pipe organ there until May of 1940. She was married May 11, 1940 to Robert Scott WATERMAN of Milton at her mother's house in Milton. He died Dec. 12, 1981. She studied music at Milton College after her marriage in 1943. She served as a pipe organist for 45 years at a church in Janesville and taught piano for about 20 years in Milton. She was a member of the Milton Woman's Club and the Alumni Association of Milton College. She was a great-grand-niece of Joseph GOODRICH, the builder of the Milton House.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
By her request there will be no funeral services. Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery
at a later date, following cremation. Albrecht Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. [Thursday edition, p. 4]
