De Etta R[ae] KASTORFF, 79, of Whitewater, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at
Mulberry Glenn Assisted Living Facility in Whitewater.
She was born April 8, 1922, the daughter of Truman and Gladys LIPPINCOTT.
She graduated from Milton High School in 1940 and received her bachelor of science degree from Milton College in 1945 in music education. She married Ronald KASTORFF in 1955. They lived in Whitewater where Ron operated a barbershop. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, The Hope Circle, a volunteer at the church thrift shop for 33 years and provided an updated bulletin board at the church for 28 years.
She is survived by many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Ronald, and her parents.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 22, 2001, at First English Lutheran
Church, Whitewater. Rev. Gerald Wendt officiated. Burial was in Milton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church. Skindingsrude Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. [Thursday edition, p. 4]

Kay Douglas BURDICK, 69, of 309 N. Palm St., Janesville, died at home Saturday,
April 14, 2001, of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Sept. 23, 1931 in Milton, The son of Robert and Margaret
(HUTCHINS) BURDICK. He graduated from Milton Union High School in 1949. He married Shirley MOORE on June 7, 1952. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He lived in Janesville all of his married life and was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church. He retired from Warner Electric Brake, Beloit.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Janesville; two sons, Daniel and Brian of
Janesville; two daughters: Sherry (Terry) MUTH of Janesville and Brenda BURDICK of Janesville; two brothers, Robert (Diana) BURDICK of Boulder, Colo., and Keith (Mary) BURDICK, of Slinger, Tex.; two sisters, Carolyn PAYNE of Youngstown, Ohio and Eleanor (Allen) SHEPHERD of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Crystal.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Albrecht Funeral Home.
Rev. Bob Hays officiated. Burial was in the Milton Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name. [Thursday edition]
