- James "Jim" RICE,
48, of 225 Greenhill Circle, Milton, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001,
- at his home following a brief battle
with cancer.
- He was born June 5, 1953 in Edgerton,
the son of Ivan and Eunice (TRESCHER)
- RICE.
He married Gloria WESTRICK on Sept. 22, 1979. He graduated
from Milton High School in 1971. He was a bartender at the
Buckhorn Supper Club, the Old Towne Inn and the 615 Club. He
was president of Ivan RICE and Sons, Inc., a member of
Cement Masons Union Local 599 and a member of Milton United Methodist
Church.
- He is survived by his wife, Gloria
of Milton; two children, Erika RICE and Kirk
- RICE
both of Milton; his father and step-mother, Ivan (Joyce) RICE
of Milton; a brother Randal (Jacquelyn) RICE of Milton
and two sisters, Barbara (Eldon) PICKEL of Kieler and
Julie (Kelly) SHADEL of Milton; three step-brothers, Mark
OLSON, Mike OLSON, and Ray OLSON; nieces
and nephews, Ryan RICE, Lance RICE, Lindsey RICE,
Vanessa RICE, Tom PICKEL, Kelsey SHADEL
and Michael SHADEL.
- He was preceded in death by his mother,
Eunice RICE; grandparents, Ivan and Lois
- RICE
and William and Florence TRESCHER.
- Funeral services will be held at 11:
a.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at the Milton United
- Methodist Church. Pastor Tom Moe
will officiate. Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery. Friends
may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Albrecht
Funeral Home and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. A memorial
fund is being established in his name. [Thursday edition,
