Gloria May HENDRICKSON, 65, of Milton, died Thursday, May 30, 2002,
following a long battle with cancer.
She was born April 13, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio, the fifth child of Marvin and Cathryn
(SMITH) TUCKER. She grew up in Cataract, Wis. She moved to Milton in 1956, where she spent the rest of her life. She retired from Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson in 1999, after many years of employment.
She is survived by her three children: Anthony HENDRICKSON of Milton, Denise
WENDT of Rhinelander and Rhonda (fiance Tom JOHNSON) HENDRICKSON of Milton; eight grandchildren: Christopher (Treasa) HENDRICKSON, Joshua (Beth) WENDT, Ben HENDRICKSON, Debra (Jason) WILEY, Jacquelyn BENSON, Nicole BENSON, Jacob HENDRICKSON and Ariel HENDRICKSON; five great-grandchildren: Allyssa, Schyler, Brody, Brandon and Jessica; three brothers: Tad (Ruth) TUCKER of Kendall, Ronald (Zella) TUCKER of Fullerton, Calif. and Douglas (Pat) TUCKER of Sparta; three sisters: Doreen (Jon) BERGMAN of Milton, Jean (Norm) WINCHELL of Janesville and June (Francis) BROWN of Sparta; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Susan BERGMAN of Milton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Amelia FOSTER and Nancy
KOBERNICK; and a brother, Bruce TUCKER.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 3 at Albrecht Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald
Webber officiated. [Thursday edition, p. 4]

Richard ASH, 69, of 608 Hilltop Drive, Milton, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Mercy
Health System, Janesville.
He was born June 17, 1932 in Janesville, the son of Harry and Mary (CONNOLLY)
ASH. He lived all his life in the Janesville and Milton area. He graduated from Milton High School and was an inspector at General Motors, from which he was retired. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Aletha COOKSON on October 17, 1990. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton, the American Legion #67, V.F.W. Post Milton and U.A.W. #95 Retirees.
He is survived by his wife, Aletha of Milton; a son, Leonard (Sue) CHERRIER of
Janesville; two daughters, Christin (Peter) COX of Janesville and Nancy (Harold) BABCOCK of Janesville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty McBRIDE of Milton; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Vincent, Phil and Brad; three sisters: Rita, Lorraine and Devota.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Msgr. Jim Uppena officiated. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery. Albrecht Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society. [Thursday edition, p. 4]

Philip Clifton HULL, age 87, of 3101 Crystal Springs Rd., Janesville, died Sunday,
June 2, 2002, at home.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1914, in Milton, the son of Frank and Kathryn (THIELE)
HULL. He married Mable ASTIN in Milton Junction, on Aug. 23, 1936. She preceded him in death on April 24, 1997. Philip is survived by his four daughters: Rosetta (Joseph) HODGE and Phylis (Wayne) OLSON both of Janesville, Shirley RILEY of West Des Moines, IA, and Nancy (Eric DAHL) GILE of Panama City, FL; and a son, Terry (Jane) HULL of New Hope, PA; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren (with 3 additional due this summer) and one great-great-grandson. Phil is further survived by two sisters, Kathryn "Tut" HULL and Marian "Liz" KUMLIEN both of Janesville; two brothers, Richard "Dicky" (Betty) of Milton and Warren "Scuz" (Ellen) of St. Cloud, MN, and sister-in-law, Betty (Ralph) COOPER of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mable; parents; and two brothers, Donald "Joe" and Eugene "Beans" HULL.
Phil had a long association with the Parker Pen Company in various domestic and
international positions including residence in Canada, Argentina and Brazil, retiring in 1979 as Senior Corporate Vice President. Community and governmental activities included Janesville City Planning Commission, Vice President; Milton College Board of Trustees, President; Janesville Chamber of Commerce, Chairman Governor's Commission of Physical Fitness, National Planning Association Board Member, Vice President Sinnissippi Council Boy Scouts of America, Red Cross Director, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the United Church of Marco Island, Florida and head of several Janesville area fund raising projects including Community Chest, Mercy Hospital and Sinnissippi Council Camp Indian Trails. He had attained international rank in competitive pistol shooting.
A private committal service was held at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel,
Janesville, on Wednesday, June 5, 2002. A Memorial Service was held Wednesday June 5, 2002 at Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Roy Godwin officiated. Memorials may be made to Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church Building Fund, Sinnissippi Council, Boy Scouts of America, or HospiceCare, Inc. Schneider Funeral Home assisted the family.
