- Howard L[eRoy] ROOT, 94, of
Milton, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Mercy
- Hospital, Janesville.
- He was born Feb. 9, 1908, in Bolivar,
NY, the son of the late Burr L. and Katherine
- W. ROOT. He graduated from
Bolivar High School in 1926 and Milton College in 1931. He
worked 52 years for Nunn Bush Shoe Co. in Edgerton and 30 years
part-time at Colvin Bakery in Janesville.
- Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn
WILLIAMS of Delavan; two sons, Duane
- (Donna) ROOT of Whitewater and
David (Marcella) ROOT, Sr., of Janesville; 13 grandchildren;
25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Howard ROOT, Jr.
- Funeral services were held Wednesday,
July 10, 2002 at St. John's Evangelical
- Lutheran Church. Rev. Larry Schwanke
officiated. Burial was in Milton Cemetery. Albrecht Funeral
