- Florence V[iolet] BARKER, 93,
of Milton, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at her home.
- She was born June 16, 1909 in Exeland,
the daughter of Clayton and Jessie (LAWTON) FREEBORN.
- She married Donald BARKER on
March 20, 1937 in Belvidere, Ill. She worked
- as a stockroom clerk at the Burdick
Corp. She was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church,
Royal Neighbors, Milton Woman's Club and Blackhawk Homemakers.
- She is survived by one son Robert BARKER
of Milton; a daughter, Sandra LUKAS
- of Milton; two grandchildren: Christopher
(Jenny) LUKAS and Kevin (Dawn) LUKAS; five great-grandchildren:
Justin RENFRO and Kelsey, Jake, Karley and Colin LUKAS.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 5, 1978, her
parents and a sister, Nellie FREEBORN.
- Funeral services were held Wednesday,
Aug. 7, 2002, at Albrecht Funeral Home.
- Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated. Burial
was in Milton Junction Cemetery. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare,
