- Robert R. "Rob" GRAY,
46, of 3211 N. Emerald Grove Road, died Sunday, Aug.
- 17, 2003 at University Hospitals, Madison,
of injuries suffered in a fall at his home the previous day.
- He was born in Stoughton on June 30,
1957, the son of Ross and Shirley
- (KITTELSON) GRAY. He
graduated from Milton High School in 1975 and received a degree
from Blackhawk Technical College as a small engine mechanic.
He married Cynthia "Cindy" DORR on Sept. 5,
1981. He was employed for 20 years by Blain Supply Company
as a small engine mechanic. He was very instrumental in the
planning, development and operation of the Prairie Woods Golf
Course and was currently the grounds operations manager there.
He was a member of the Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church
and the Thursday Night Golf League at Prairie Woods.
- He is survived by his wife, Cindy;
his two daughters: Erica (boyfriend, Chad
- BERGSBAKEN)
and Emily, all at home; his parents, Ross and Shirley GRAY
of Milton; his two sisters, Sue GRAY of Darien and Mary
Jo (Steve) CRAIG of Janesville; his aunts and uncles Ken
and Terri KITTELSON of Green Bay, Marion JENSON
of Stoughton, Joan and Curt AUSTIN of Janesville; his
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen and LaVonne DORR
of Whitewater; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Chris and
Dan SILHA of Janesville, Bob and Julie DORR of
Avalon; and his five nieces: Alivia, Sarah and Megan DORR
and Alyse and Caralyne SILHA.
- Services will be held at 11 a.m. today,
Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at Rock Prairie
- United Presbyterian Church, 8625 County
Road A East, Janesville. Rev. Gary S. Shields will officiate.
Private interment will precede the services at Johnstown Center
Cemetery. Because Prairie Woods Golf Course was such a large
part of Rob's life, in lieu of other expressions of sympathy,
a memorial fund in his name will be established to be used there.
