- SERIOUS ACCIDENT PROVES FATAL
Life of Giles CLARK is Brought to End as Result of Runaway
- Wednesday morning Giles [Delos] CLARK was at work
in the woods at his home
- north of town when his team ran away and in some manner,
no one knows how, Mr. CLARK was terribly injured.
- His little daughter first found him and he was able to ask
for his older daughter. The
- little child ran for her sister not fully realizing the condition
of her father.
- The older sister on finding him got her mother and other
help at once and Dr. Crosley
- was called. He found the man in such serious condition that
Dr. Gibson of Janesville was called and upon examination they
found a fracture of the skull behind one ear and also a more
serious fracture at the base of the skull. There was severe hemorrhage
at the nose and mouth and one side of the body was paralyzed.
- Mr. CLARK died this morning without gaining consciousness.
Arrangements for the
- funeral have not as yet been made. [Thursday edition]
