SERIOUS ACCIDENT PROVES FATAL
Life of Giles CLARK is Brought to End as Result of Runaway
Wednesday morning Giles [Delos] CLARK was at work in the woods at his home
north of town when his team ran away and in some manner, no one knows how, Mr. CLARK was terribly injured.
His little daughter first found him and he was able to ask for his older daughter. The
little child ran for her sister not fully realizing the condition of her father.
The older sister on finding him got her mother and other help at once and Dr. Crosley
was called. He found the man in such serious condition that Dr. Gibson of Janesville was called and upon examination they found a fracture of the skull behind one ear and also a more serious fracture at the base of the skull. There was severe hemorrhage at the nose and mouth and one side of the body was paralyzed.
Mr. CLARK died this morning without gaining consciousness. Arrangements for the
funeral have not as yet been made. [Thursday edition]
