- Friday morning, Mrs. Henrietta BURDICK, widow of the
late D. C. BURDICK,
- passed away at her home at 225 South Franklin street, Janesville,
at the age of 77 years. Her death was due to heart failure and
dropsy.
- She, whose maiden name was Henrietta [Kidder] DOTY,
was born in Allegany
- county, New York, where she was also married to D. C. BURDICK.
They came to Wisconsin about fifty years ago and settled at Milton,
later making their home at Janesville, where Mr. BURDICK
was engaged in the furniture business.
- Mrs. BURDICK leaves two children, Mrs. Ella STETSON
and Clarence
- BURDICK, both of New York City; one brother, Silas
S. DOTY of Amboy, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. S. G. BOND
of Milton Junction.
- Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon
from the home, the Rev.
- David Beaton, pastor of the Janesville Congregational church
officiating. Interment was made in the Milton cemetery, the funeral
party coming overland from Janesville. [Thursday edition,

- Mrs. Sarah CRANDALL [nee GOODSON], aged 86
years, died July 4 at the home
- of her daughter, Mrs. Ed WILCOX, in the town of Johnstown,
where she had lived for many years. Mrs. CRANDALL is also
the mother of Will CRANDALL of Milton.
- The funeral services were held at the WILCOX home
Saturday afternoon at 2
- o'clock, conducted by the Rev. A. Hattestad of Fond du Lac,
assisted by Rev. M. A. Drew. The music was rendered by Mr. and
Mrs. S. S. SUMMERS. Interment was made in the Milton cemetery.
