- Emma Eliza GALLUP was born at Mauston, Wis., May 8th,
1863. She was one
- of three children born to Frank and Harriet GALLUP,
all having preceded her into the great Beyond. Her parents moved
to the southern part of the state when she was but a child. On
April 7th, 1898, she was married to Mr. George HEYDON.
To this union were born two children; a son, who died in infancy
and a daughter, Harriet.
- Mrs. HEYDON died last Saturday morning following a
brief but severe illness, at the
- age of 56 years. She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter
Harriet, several distant relatives and a large number of friends.
- Twelve years ago Mrs. HEYDON gave her heart to God
and joined the Milton
- Methodist Church under the ministry of Brother Hatelstad
and continued a true child of God and faithful member of the
church until her death. She now belongs to the Church Triumphant
whose location is heaven.
- Mrs. HEYDON was an unassuming woman of a somewhat
retiring nature; for that
- reason her close friends may have been fewer, but surely
choicer. Only those who were real intimate, really knew Mrs.
HEYDON. All such will say, "A true woman and friend
has left us."
- The funeral services were conducted from the home Tuesday
afternoon, Rev. W. S.
- Carr in charge. Rev. Anton Hatlestad, a former pastor of
the deceased, preached the funeral sermon. Mr. and Mrs. S. SUMMERS,
accompanied by Mrs. ARRINGTON, sang beautifully three
songs. Interment was in the Milton cemetery. W. S. Carr. [Thursday
edition, p. 1]
