Mrs. Susan FORSYTHE LOOFBORO passed away at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. A. L. BURDICK in Milton Sunday morning at 1 o'clock, after a few weeks illness.
Mrs. LOOFBORO was born in Jackson Center, Ohio, in 1837, and was 87 years of
age at the time of her death. She lived in Jackson Center until 1858, when she was married to Mr. LOOFBORO and they moved to Welton, Iowa. Since the death of Mr. LOOFBORO in June, 1906, Mrs. LOOFBORO has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. A. L. BURDICK in Milton.
Mrs. LOOFBORO was a devout member of the Seventh Day Baptist church all her
life, having joined the church in early childhood. She was interested in cause of missions and was a generous supporter of all worthy objects. Mrs. LOOFBORO is survived by one daughter, Mrs. L. A. BURDICK of Milton, and five sons, R. E. LOOFBORO of New Auburn, Elmer E. LOOFBORO of Galewood, Ill., the Rev Eli F. LOOFBORO of Shiloh, N. J., Wade J. LOOFBORO of Welton, Iowa, and Dr. E. B. LOOFBORO of Janesville.
Short funeral services were held at the home in Milton Monday morning at 8:30,
conducted by the Rev. Erlo Sutton of Milton Junction. The remains were taken to Welton, Iowa, for burial. [Thursday edition, p. 1]
