- Oscar P[orter] FREEBORN, long a resident of Milton,
died early Saturday after a
- brief illness. He was taken ill Thursday night. Funeral services
were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon by the Rev. M. G.
Stillman. Prof. L. H. STRINGER sang, accompanied by Mrs.
STRINGER. Interment was in the Milton cemetery.
- Mr. FREEBORN was born July 28, 1854, the son of Daniel
and Amy Ann
- FREEBORN, Utica, Wis. He was married to Emma M. WELLS
in Milton, Oct. 21, 1883. He is survived by his widow, one daughter,
Pansy, at home; one brother, Irving FREEBORN, Shinglehouse,
Pa. and one sister, Mrs. Cash GRIGGS, Spencer, Ia.
- Persons attending the funeral from out of town included:

and Mrs. Clarke CRANDALL, Mrs. Fred BEYER and son,
Harry Truman and daughter and Mrs. Martha BOYD, all of
