- Funeral services for Mrs. Luen LIPPINCOTT of Milton,
who died Thursday, Nov.
- 13, in Mercy hospital, Janesville, were held in the Milton
S.D.B. church last Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. J. L. Skaggs officiating.
Burial was made in Milton cemetery.
- [Martha] Inez VAN HORN was born in Garwin, Iowa, on
August 4, 1894, the
- daughter of Louis VAN HORN and wife Aldie KNIGHT
VAN HORN. She received her education there and was married
to Luen C. LIPPINCOTT Dec. 31, 1914.
- She was baptized in Garwin, and joined the Seventh Day Baptist
church there, later
- transferring her membership to Milton.
- Mrs. LIPPINCOTT was well liked and a social leader
in her set. She was a splendid
- worker among the juniors of the S.D.B. church. Her husband
and children have the sympathy of many friends.
- Survivors are her husband; three sons, Warren, Leslie and
Darwin; her mother, Mrs.
- Aldie VAN HORN, Garwin; two sisters, Mrs. Frank HURLEY
and Mrs. Ray LIPPINCOTT; and four brothers, George and
Frank VAN HORN, Milton, and Orell and Alvin VAN HORN,
Garwin. Her father and one brother, Leolin, preceded her in death.
- Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs.
Aldie VAN HORN, Mr.
- and Mrs. Orell VAN HORN and child, Mr. and
Mrs. Alvin VAN HORN and child, and Dale HURLEY,
all of Garwin, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Noble LIPPINCOTT
