- Mrs. Earl MARYOTT, who has been seriously ill for
the past three months, departed
- from this life at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 1933 at her
home in Milton.
- Verna [Belle] PALMER was born to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
B. PALMER, Feb 16,
- 1892, in Milton Junction and lived here all her life with
the exception of a few years spent in Bethel, Wis. At the age
of 25 years Verna was baptized and united with the Milton Junction
S.D.A. Church, of which she has been a faithful member. In
1914 she was married to Earl H. MARYOTT. Two daughters,
Dorothy and Wanda were born to this union.
- Besides her husband and two daughters, she is survived by
her mother, Mrs. Clara
- PALMER, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and three brothers:
George PALMER, Milton Junction, Dr. Walter B. PALMER,
Long Beach, Calif., Spencer Z. PALMER, Morristown, South,
Dakota, and three sisters: Mrs. George CRANDALL Jr., Milton
Junction, Mrs. Edward TYLER and Mrs. George EKVALL,
Santa Barbara, Calif.
- Mrs. MARYOTT leaves behind her a record of a wholesome
Christian life and she
- will live in the memory of those who loved her for her acts
of kindness, especially her two nephews, Henry and John HAMLIN,
in whose life she tried to fill a mother's place. She was of
a bright vivacious temperament, always looking on the humorous
side of life. At intervals throughout her life, she has suffered
severe illness, but has always borne her suffering with a cheerful
patience especially her last illness when she bore her cross
like a brave soldier.
- Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the home
and at 2:30 o'clock at the
- Seventh-day Adventist church, Milton Junction with Elder
Hugh Williams of Madison, officiating. Mrs. Arthur VANSICKLE
presided at the piano. A male quartet from Milton college rendered
the vocal numbers. Burial was in Milton Junction cemetery,
the pallbearers being Herve and Timothy PHELPS, J. E.
MARSHALL and Charles ANTISDEL. [Thursday edition,
