- Mrs. W. C. WILBUR, a
resident of Milton more than 30 years died in Mercy
- hospital Sunday. She had been
in failing health a couple of years and had been cared for in
the home of Mrs. John CONLEY, Janesville, since January,
1941.
- Sybil A[nn] AKIN, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan AKIN, was born Sept. 15,
- 1860, in La Prairie township,
Rock county. On March 15, 1876, she has married to Walter C.
WILBUR in Harmony township and they lived on a farm in
that township until 1908 when he retired from farming and they
moved to Milton. Mr. WILBUR died Sept. 21, 1932.
- Mrs. WILBUR was a member
of the Milton W.C.T.U. for many years and of
- Whatsoever circle of King's
Daughters.
- Survivors are one daughter Mrs.
A. O. ROBERTSON, Milton Junction route 2; two
- granddaughters, Beatrice HARDY,
Milton, and Gladys ROBERTSON, Milton Junction route 2;
four sisters, one of them being Miss Elsie AKIN, Janesville;
and three brothers.
- Funeral services were held at
2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Gray and Albrecht funeral
- home, Milton Junction, the Rev.
D. Q. Grabill, of the Congregational church officiating. Burial
was in Milton cemetery, pallbearers being Russell BROWN,
Morris HANSON, Wayne WILBUR, George WOOSTER,
George WILBUR and Jesse DAVIS.
- Among the out of town relatives
and friends attending were Mrs. Ida FERGUSON,
- Cottage Grove, Miss Elsie WILBUR,
Mrs. Jesse DAVIS, Mrs. John CONLEY, Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin MARTIN, Mrs. Carrie WOOD and Mr. and Mrs.
Romaine WILCOX, all of Janesville; Mrs. Wayne WILBUR
of Avalon; Mrs. George WOOSTER of Whitewater, Miss Gladys
ROBERTSON, Milwaukee. [Thursday
