Funeral services for Miles RICE, who died May 7th, were held at 2:30 p.m.
Saturday in the home at 308 Madison avenue, Milton. Dr. Edwin Shaw was assisted in the service by Rev. Carroll L. Hill, and K. A. BABCOCK sang two selections. The Odd Fellows service was conducted by George WATERMAN of the Janesville lodge, assisted by Prof. L. C. SHAW, local lodge chaplain. Burial was in the Milton cemetery. The pallbearers were Prof. D. N. INGLIS, W. E. ROGERS, G. R. BOSS, Ellwood SHUMWAY, Roy CARY, and Carl GRAY. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends at the service, many from out-of-town.
Mr. RICE is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. P. B. HURLEY, Riverside,
Calif.; and Mrs. Cash STONE, Juda; and one son, Edward RICE of Milton Junction; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. [Thursday edition, p. 1]
