Elvin F. ARRINGTON, who died Jan. 29 in Reno, Nev., was born Nov. 24, 1875,
at Farina, Ill. On Christmas eve, 1895, he married Miss Lulu WILLIAMS of Milton and they resided in Milwaukee while he was a street car conductor. Then he was a locomotive engineer in Iowa for the Milwaukee Road before coming to Milton and going into the livery business with the late James ANDERSON. For twenty years he farmed in this locality and in the summer of 1939 he and Mrs. ARRINGTON went to live with their son, Clyde E., at Reno, Nev., where she died on Sept. 1, 1941.
Survivors are the son, Clyde E., Reno, Nev.; a brother, Clyde B., Oak Park, Ill.; and
a sister, Mrs. Wilferd KNIGHT, Milton. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
A service was held in Reno on Jan. 30 and the son accompanied the body to Milton
where services were held in the Congregational church last Friday afternoon. Rev. R. W. Newell officiated, Pres. Carroll L. HILL sang and members of the local Masonic lodge, of which Mr. ARRINGTON was a member, conducted their ritual. Burial was in Milton cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis AUSTIN, Roy CARY, Elam COON, Harry GREEN, Arthur HOLMES and Herbert RISDON.
Among the relatives attending were Clyde B. ARRINGTON, Oak Park; Mr. and
Mrs. E. L. CARLSON and Mr. and Mrs. Roy JOHNSON, Rockford; and Mrs. E. E. LOOFBORO, Albion. [Thursday edition, p. 1]

Don A[lbert] BORDEN, who had been a patient in the Veterans hospital at Wood
several weeks, died there Feb. 1st. Funeral services were held in the Milton Congregational church Saturday afternoon, Rev. R. W. Newell officiating and Kenneth BABCOCK singing. Burial was in Milton cemetery, pallbearers being Chas. H. ANDERSON, Wm. D. BURDICK, A. G. HOLMES, S. C. HULL, Wm. LAUER and F. E. WENDT, all legionnaires.
Among the relatives and friends attending were: Don A. BORDEN, Boca Raton,
Fla.; Mary Ann BORDEN, Wm. BORDEN and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. FARNSWORTH, Mrs. Frank WOODBURY, Mrs. Paul LEMMEL and daughter, Miss Alice THORNGATE, Robert GRAY and Joan GRAY, all of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. C. A. BORDEN and daughter, Mr.and Mrs. Robt. LAMB, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. CLELAND and John HOLMES, all of Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Albert WALKER, Pewaukee.
Don A., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred BORDEN, was born Nov. 3, 1892, in Milton.
He was a graduate of the old Milton high school and of Beloit college and served with the army in France in World War I. On Oct. 9, 1924, he married Bessie CRANDALL, who died in 1940.
He was chief of the Milton fire department for several years. He had been a tobacco
buyer, later clerk in the Milton post office, and more recently had taught radio at Truax field, Madison, and Chanute Field, Ill.
Survivors are a son, Don, Jr., in the army air force, training at Boca Raton, Fla.; a
daughter, Mary Ann, who is attending school in Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Alice UPHOFF, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Robert LAMB, Milwaukee, and a brother Clarke, Milwaukee. [Thursday edition, p. 1]

Harvey L[aGrange] BURDICK, who had been ill since Nov. 18, 1944, died early
Saturday morning in his home in Milton.
He was born in Utica, Jan 1, 1879, the son of George W. and Mary BURDICK.
On Dec. 3, 1900, he married Beulah BURDICK in the home of her uncle, C. C. CLARKE, in Milton Junction. He was principal of high schools in Iowa where they resided 13 years, and for the past 22 years had been employed by the BURDICK corporation, Milton.
He was a member of the S.D.B. church at Welton, Iowa, and had been a mason for
many years.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Leroy RASMUSSEN, Milton; three sons,
George E. of Rochester, N.Y., Lt. H. Lawrence, Camp Bowie, Tex., and Ralph W. of Edgerton; a sister, Mrs. Archie HURLEY, Milton, and four grandchildren. A brother, Dr. G. Merton BURDICK, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Gray and Albrecht funeral home
(former C. C. CLARKE residence), Milton Junction, Rev. Willard D. BURDICK officiating and being assisted by Rev. Elmo Fitz Randolph. A group of Masons attended and their ritual was given, and Kenneth R. BABCOCK sang two selections. Pallbearers, Masons, were Elam COON, Roy CARY, Harry GREEN, P. J. BAUER, Arthur HOLMES and Herbert RISDON. Burial was in Milton cemetery.

N.Y.; Lt. and Mrs. Lawrence BURDICK, Camp Bowie, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph BURDICK, Edgerton; Mrs. H. M. JOHNSON, Chicago; Mrs. and Mrs. Oscar WATSON, Mr. and Mrs. Claude WATSON, Edgerton; Mrs. Agnes WATSON, Stoughton; Mrs. Charles HUNT, Lima; Mrs. G.
