Mary Rowesser STEWART was born June 16, 1845, in Albion, Dane Co., Wis.,
and died in Milton Junction Feb. 7, 1905.
She was married to Justin M. HULL Oct. 6, 1863, in Albion. Four children were
born to them three with her husband having passed on before to the better land. One son, Nathan, remains to mourn the loss of a devoted mother to whom he has been a most affectionate son, tenderly caring for her in the years of suffering through which she has been called to pass.
A few days before her death the writer called to see her and after some conversation
and prayer she said "I am trying to fully trust in Jesus." The funeral was held from her late home, conducted by the writer. Interment in the Milton Junction cemetery. G. J. C. [Thursday edition, p. 4]

Dea. L[ester] T[inker] ROGERS was born in Waterford, Conn., Nov. 8, 1821, and
died at Milton Junction, Wis., Feb. 15, 1905, in the 84th year of his age. At the age of five years his mother his mother died and he was given a home with his grandfather. His educational advantages were those afforded by the district school of his native town, until his twentieth year when he entered De Ruyter Institute in Madison county, N.Y., where he remained three and one-half terms. Then he was called home to care for his aged grandmother. In 1845 he married Elizabeth MILLER of Otselic, N.Y., who died March 11, 1848, leaving one son who died a year later. On April 8, 1854, he married Sarah M. COON, daughter of Deacon Pardon COON, of De Ruyter, N.Y., and in the fall of 1855 they came to this town and settled on a farm. Ten years later they sold the farm and located in the village of Milton Junction.
After coming to Milton three children were born to Dea. and Mrs. ROGERS, Delana
F., Benedict W., and Elizabeth A. The last named died Feb. 16, 1884, and the mother in April, 1894. At the age of 16 years, Brother ROGERS professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and later became a member of the Seventh-day Baptist church in Waterford, Conn. When the Rock River Seventh-day Baptist church was organized, in April, 1856, he was one of the constituent members and in the following year was ordained deacon and has served the church in that capacity for nearly forty-nine years. Dea. ROGERS will be greatly missed in the various civil offices in which he has served the public. He was assessor 7 years, supervisor 4 years, justice of the peace 4 years, notary public 44 years, town clerk 9 years. In all this service he was conscientious, and painstaking and a faithful servant of the people.
Few men have the opportunity to serve so long and very few do it so well. He died
abiding in strong faith in the living God. G. J. C. [Thursday edition, p. 4]
