- Dennis C. BURDICK died at his
home in Janesville Friday morning. The funeral
- was held at his home Monday at 10 a.
m. and the body brought to Milton for burial.
- Mr. BURDICK and his wife came
to Milton about 1856 where he lived until 1881
- when he moved to Janesville to engage
in the manufacture of cotton batting. While living there he and
his brother Stillman conducted a wagon shop in the building which
is now W. B. MAXSON's hardware store and which at that
time stood where the store of DUNN, BOSS &
Co. now stands.
- He retired from active business about
twenty years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss
- a widow, with whom he had lived for
fifty years; a son, Clarence E. BURDICK of Janesville,
and a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor STETSON of Chicago. [Thursday
