Milton, Milton Twp., Rock County, Wisconsin

18
Dennis C. BURDICK died at his home in Janesville Friday morning. The funeral
was held at his home Monday at 10 a. m. and the body brought to Milton for burial.
Mr. BURDICK and his wife came to Milton about 1856 where he lived until 1881
when he moved to Janesville to engage in the manufacture of cotton batting. While living there he and his brother Stillman conducted a wagon shop in the building which is now W. B. MAXSON's hardware store and which at that time stood where the store of DUNN, BOSS & Co. now stands.
He retired from active business about twenty years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss
a widow, with whom he had lived for fifty years; a son, Clarence E. BURDICK of Janesville, and a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor STETSON of Chicago. [Thursday edition, p. 1]
