Haldane Cochran SAUNDERS, the youngest son of Dea. and Mrs. Truman
SAUNDERS, was born in West Hallock, Ill., March 4, 1862, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William P. MYERS, in Chicago, January 18, 1915. Death came suddenly from heart failure while he sat at the breakfast table.
Mr. SAUNDERS spent the year 1879-1880 in Kentucky State College at Lexington.
The following fall he entered Milton College, where he remained two or three years, but on account of poor health he gave up further study. He had lived intermittently in Milton and vicinity for thirty years, but his permanent home of late had been in Alabama. For several years he was engaged in the hardware business at Milton.
He was married to Miss Charlotte DAVY, of Milton, on Mar. 25, 1884. To them
were born two children - Charlotte and Haldane. The latter died at the age of five years. Mrs. SAUNDERS died in December, 1895.
The body was brought to Milton for burial, and funeral services were held Wednesday
afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. A. R. CRANDALL, conducted by Rev. Willard D. Burdick. W. D. B. [Vol. 80, No. ?, p. ?]
