Chester J[ob] SMITLEY, a resident and merchant of Milton, Wis., since 1945, was
born at Berne, Ind., June 27, 1915. His life, before coming to Milton, was spent in Indiana where he was educated in the public schools and went into business as a grocery store owner and operator.

of Mr. and Mrs. Norton LOWTHER, of Milton, Wis. In June of 1945 the SMITLEYs moved to Milton, Wis., where Mr. SMITLEY purchased and operated a grocery store. Chester SMITLEY was a sincere Christian. He was a member of the Brethren
