June 1927

Rock County, Wisconsin

30?
Edna May SUNBY was born in Milton January 21, 1903, to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
SUNBY, and passed away on Monday, June 27, at 7 a.m. at her home in Milton.
She attended grade school and high school graduating from the latter institution in
1920, after which she attended Milton College for about three years, also teaching Latin a part of the time while in college.
On June 30, 1923, she was united in marriage to Walter W. HOLLIDAY. She was
a member of the Milton Methodist Church, and had served as Sunday School teacher, organist, was a member of the choir, and active in all church work.
Besides the bereaved husband, she leaves to mourn her loss, her parents; two sisters,
Mrs. Harold BOEHM, and Miss Clara; and three brothers, Carl, Alfred and Lewis, all of Milton, besides a host of friends.
The funeral was, owing to the nature of her illness, held at the Milton Cemetery, the
house being in quarantine, and was conducted by the pastor of the deceased, Rev. Anton HATLESTAD, assisted by Rev. Sheard of Pewaukee, a former pastor, and Rev. M.A. Drew. Mr. and Mrs. S. S. SUMMERS sang "Abide with Me".

[Jon didn't know which Milton newspaper this obituary came from, nor did he know the date. I'm assuming a date of June 30, 1927, because nearly all of Milton's newspapers were published on Thursdays (and if Monday was June 27, then Thursday would have been June 30)]
